AAYGC 1st Family Giving Circle Meeting

AAYGC members, Tyler K., Ethan K., Ashton K., and Jeffrey S., spent their Sunday afternoon with other youth leaders to lead the first Family Giving Circle meeting of 2018 for Great Houston Community Foundation. This year the Family Giving Circle focuses on homeless issues in Houston. After carefully reviewing 15 nonprofit applicants, the Youth Leadership Team selected 3 final grantees: Daya, HomeAid Houston and Salvation Army (YARC Program). The Family Giving Circle will issue grants to these organizations in different projects to help youth homeless families getting back to their feet. Our young new member, Simon Z., also joined the team to assemble safe home baskets for the homeless. We are very proud our members’ continuing involvement in the community and serve others!
